A server with PHP 8.2+, MySQL, and a web server (Apache or Nginx). Most standard VPS plans qualify.
BYOK means Bring Your Own Key. You connect your own AI provider API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) in your self-hosted instance. AI requests go directly from your server to your provider — we never see or store your key, and you pay the provider directly for usage.
